Day 18 Wellness Action: Eat Three

It is no secret that fruits are great for you. They pack the vitamins and minerals that your body needs to function and they are a low calorie alternative for a snack. One of the great things about fruits is that they come in different shapes, colors, and tastes; this means that there is a fruit for every palate.

The different colors of fruit are not just to make them more appealing to your senses. In fact, fruit contain antioxidants – superpowers in the fight against disease and aging – that are reflected in their colors. This means that yellow colored fruits pack different nutrients than their purple counterparts.

This is why eating different colored fruits is important because you are not only getting a variety for your senses, but also a variety of nutrients.

Your task today is to eat 3 different colored fruits.

Day 18 Workout: Burpee Challenge

If you could only do one exercise and you wanted to get fit, lose weight and tone up all at the same time, the burpee is arguably the best choice. The burpee combines several great exercises to make a super one – it’s like 1+1+1=100!

For this workout, you are going to perform as many burpees as you can in a set time depending on your current level of fitness. Simply keep cranking them out until your chosen time has elapsed. Rest when you need to but remember, the clock is ticking and, when you do this workout again on day 27 you should try and beat today’s score.

Beginners: 5 minutes
Intermediate: 7 minutes
Advanced: 10 minutes
