16- and 17-year-olds Should Get Pfizer’s Booster
By Radiant HealthPublished: December 12, 2021
An emergency use authorization has made it possible for 16- and 17-year-olds to receive a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine to protect them against Covid-19. Just like adults, teenagers should wait the recommended six month period after their last shot. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is urging all 16- and 17-year-olds to get their third dose as soon as they are eligible. The two-dose vaccines lose efficacy over time, and the booster will help protect individuals against the omicron variant which is causing concern across the globe.
