FDA Plans to Authorize Covid Vaccine for Kids Under Five
By Radiant HealthPublished: January 23, 2022
According to Anthony Fauci, MD, the FDA will likely authorize Pfizer’s Covid vaccine for children under the age of five sometime in the next few weeks. The company’s clinical trial found that two shots did not provide enough of an immune response for kids aged 2-4, so young children will most likely need three doses. According to data collected from 14 states in early January, about 8 out of every 100,000 children under the age of 5 needed to be hospitalized after contracting Covid.
