Moderna Seeks FDA Approval For its Children’s Covid Vaccine

Moderna is moving forward with its COVID-19 vaccine for young children. The company plans to ask regulators in the U.S. and Europe to allow the drug to be administered to children younger than six. The vaccine has to be given in two small-dose shots. If the FDA authorizes its use, it will be the first chance the 18 million children five and under have to get vaccinated. The timeline means children could be getting shots as soon as this summer.
