More Young People are Suffering from Strokes

Hailey Bieber, a 25-year-old model, recently had an episode where she experienced stroke-like symptoms. Over the past few decades, the incidence of strokes in young adults has been on the rise. Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure are two of the most serious risk factors for strokes, and younger people are increasingly more likely to have diabetes or hypertension. According to Johns Hopkins, African Americans are at a higher risk for death and disability from a stroke than white people.
