Globally Recognized Visionary Dr. Paul Farmer Passes Away

The global health leader, co-founder of Partners in Health, and professor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Paul Farmer passed away. He was 62 years old. Farmer passed away unexpectedly in his sleep while working at a university he helped found in Rwanda. His list of accomplishments is long and includes bringing life-changing HIV drugs to Haiti, starting hospitals in Rwanda and Haiti, and changing peoples’ minds about global health equity. He was relentless in his dedication to providing medical care to impoverished communities.
