The FDA announced a recall for two types of Suave deodorants. Suave 24-Hour Protection Aerosol Antiperspirant Powder and Suave 24-Hour Protection Aerosol Antiperspirant Fresh which expire in September 2023 may have slightly high levels of benzene. Benzene is a carcinogen, and it is not normally found in the product. The propellant used to spray the deodorant out of the can was found to contain the harmful chemical. Unilever is offering a reimbursement to anyone who purchased the defective product.
