Scientists Disagree with Claim that Red Wine Protects Against Covid
By Radiant Health EditorsPublished: January 30, 2022

The researchers analyzed data collected from over 500,000 people in the U.K. Almost immediately, virologists and other academics responded negatively to the published paper. According to several skeptics, red wine drinkers are much more likely to be affluent than beer or cider drinkers, and the researchers did not properly control for socioeconomic status. It is a well-established fact that drinking alcohol decreases the immune system’s effectiveness.
