Start Your Day Off Right!

Welcome to Day 1 of the #RadiantBodyReboot Challenge! We are so glad you are here!

Each day includes a wellness (bonus!) and fitness challenge. Today, we begin with a simple wellness act. Your fitness challenge is below.

Day 1 Wellness Action: Drink Your Lemon Water

Start your morning right with a cup of lemon water. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon in a cup of warm or room temperature water, stir to mix and drink up.

Lemon water is good for your system on so many levels. It helps to detox and cleanse your body, improves digestion, reduces bloating and acid reflux, and contains pectin and polyphenols which have weight loss and appetite suppressant properties. Lemon water is elso effective in reducing wrinkles and improving your skin appearance due to its high antioxidant content.

Your task this week is to drink at least 2 liters of water a day. Having a glass of lemon water first thing in the morning is a good start to reaching your target.

Day 1 Workout: Initial Fitness Test

Today is all about establishing your current fitness level so that at the end of the 30 days, you’ll be able to see just how much you have improved.

We will begin each workout with a warm up. Click here for warm up video. Once you have warmed up, do the following exercises (watch video below). 

1. Jump rope time trial
See how many turns of the jump rope you can do in a single set without stopping or till failure, meaning until you can’t possibly skip one more turn. If you don’t have a jump rope, you can do jumping jacks instead. Write down your number.

2. Maximum press-ups (push-ups)
See how many press-ups/push-ups you can do in a single set or till failure, meaning until you can’t do one more. Write down your number.

3. Plank hold
Using your mobile phone timer or any other handy timer, see how long you can hold a plank. Write down your time.

We created a simple table below that you can re-create on a notebook or piece of paper to record your results. Keep this result in a safe place because you are going to need it on Day 30 (hint hint)!
