DAY 10

It’s Day 10! Can you believe it?! We’re one-third of the way there. You deserve a pat on back!

Are you getting in your daily fresh fruits? Remember to aim for three different colored fruits a day. You can eat the same three fruits each day if you wish. 

Grab your lemon/lime water and let’s get started! 

 fDay 10 Wellness Action: Plant Your Garden

You planned it yesterday, now it’s time to plant it. Remember that growing a garden of your very own is about so much more than having fresh vegetables, herbs, or flowers. It’s also about your health.

Don’t worry about planting a big elaborate garden. Simply start somewhere. It can be as easy as planting basil (scent leaves) in a large powdered milk tin.

Today decide on at least one food to plant and plant it. You have till Wednesday to put some seeds in the ground. So get to work!

 

Day 10 Workout: Full Body Circuit

Circuit training is nothing new; in fact, it’s been around since the 1950s when it was devised to be an efficient way to get a cardio workout at the same time as developing muscular endurance. Fast forward nearly 70 years and circuit training is still going strong – more than can be said for many fitness fads! This workout is short and sharp and gets a lot done in a minimum of time.

Go through the following five exercise circuit as fast as you can and as many times as you can in ten minutes. Those of you that are very fit may be able to do this non-stop. Those who are less fit may need a break between exercises. Either way, try and do as many laps as you can in the allotted ten minutes!

1. Pulsing squats 10 reps
2. Half-turn squat jumps 10 reps
3. High knee sprints 20 reps per leg
4. Alternating V-ups 5 reps per leg
5. Burpees 5 reps
